What is Jopwell?

Jopwell is a career platform designed specifically for Black, Latino/Hispanic, and Native American students and professionals. We offer introductions, inspiration, and advice to unlock opportunities for advancement at every stage of your career.

What makes Jopwell different from other online job platforms? Why should I create a free Jopwell profile?

If you are a Black, Latino/Hispanic, or Native American student or professional, Jopwell is uniquely positioned to work for you in three key ways:

  1. Jopwell is your personal referral: If you are qualified for a position, our goal is to help you get to the finish line by putting your résumé in the hands of the right person. This ensures that your profile will be reviewed, and it gives you the best possible chance of landing a job. This is especially important, as reports show that the number one way people discover a new job is through a referral.
  2. Jopwell presents personalized career opportunities: Our platform allows you to create a profile that highlights your interests and aspirations, not just your most recent work experience. We then use algorithms that analyze your profile in order to highlight roles you may not have otherwise encountered or considered.

Is Jopwell for students, professionals, or employers?

All three! Jopwell invites all Black, Latino/Hispanic, and Native American students and professionals who hold (or are working toward) a four-year degree to apply for career opportunities through Jopwell. Companies are then able to assess candidates based on their Jopwell profile, which features their résumé, personal interests, skills, leadership moments, and other highlights.

How does Jopwell match candidates to jobs?

After making a profile, Jopwell candidates can explore employer profiles and current listings on Jopwell.com. Additionally, Jopwell account managers share personalized recommendations via email to help Jopwell’s jobseekers find exciting opportunities that align with their professional interests and goals. Recruiters from Jopwell’s partner companies also directly reach out to prospective candidates of interest.
